Mirina Van Der Veen is a classically trained violinist, electric violinist, composer, and music educator. She teaches using the Suzuki method and draws from her experience in classical, contemporary, rock, and experimental music. Mirina performs with Holy Void, creates solo work as Prairie Smoke, and has contributed violin to projects including Zoon.

Her teaching focuses on strong technique, musical confidence, and helping students find their own musical voice. She encourages students to use the violin as a tool for creativity, self-expression, and personal connection to sound.
